Young Racers Program
Take a chance to win a BRAND NEW 2010 Legends car, with all proceeds to benefit the BMS Young Racers Program.

RAFFLE TO BENEFIT BMS YOUNG RACERS
BETHEL, NY - This week, Bethel Motor Speedway announced that they will be raffling off a Legends car to benefit the Bethel Motor Speedway Young Racers program. Raffle tickets will be sold for $100 each, with only 200 tickets being sold.
The BMS Young Racers Program was very popular in 2009, with several new young drivers entering the Bandolero class at Bethel. Among the goals of the Young Racers Program are to provide the youth class with the necessary guidance and education to understand their cars and improve their confidence and abilities, while fostering a sense of accomplishment in conjunction with each driver's personal goals. The youngsters are mentored by experienced drivers at the speedway, who work with them in their development.
The Legends car being raffled off is a brand new 2010 Legends car. Tickets are available by emailing legendstockny@yahoo.com. They will also be available at Motorsports 2010 to be held January 22-24, 2009 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. BETHEL HONORS CHAMPIONS AT AWARDS BANQUET
BETHEL, NY – On Saturday, November 7, Bethel Motor Speedway recognized its competitors and celebrated its champions at the 2009 awards banquet held at Brookside Manor in Middletown. Well over 100 people were in attendance to celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of those who supported the speedway during its first full season under new ownership.
The top ten in points in all of the speedway’s divisions were honored, with a spotlight on the champions in each class. The champions were Dan Conklin (Sportsman), Mike Alcaro (Legends), Norm Barnes (BMS Modified), Joe Barnes (ECS Auto Stores Pro Stock), Gary VanOrden (Street Stock), Larry O’Donnell (4 Cylinder Senior), and Jonathan McGibbon (4 Cylinder Junior). In addition to their trophy, each division champion was also the recipient of a custom-fitted leather champions’ jacket bearing the Bethel logo.
All of the drivers who competed in the Bandolero class were recognized for their participation in the 2009 season.
Rookie of the Year honors went to Bryanna Hurban (Sportsman), Joe DeGracia (Legends), Johnny Demarmels (BMS Modified), Kevin Skelly (Street Stock), Russell Sniffen (4 Cylinder Senior), and Vinny Stanton Jr. (4 Cylinder Junior).
The recipients of the Best Appearing Car awards were Bryanna Hurban (Sportsman), Dan Wood (BMS Modified), Jim Helt (ECS Auto Stores Pro Stock), Rich Wheeler (Street Stock), and Vinny Stanton Jr. (4 Cylinders).
Plaques were distributed to all drivers who competed in all of the races for their respective divisions.
It is expected that Bethel ’s rules meetings for 2010 will be held in January.
